Practical and Compassionate End-of-Life Planning
Practical and Compassionate End-of-Life Planning
Our mission is to provide compassionate and comprehensive support throughout the end-of-life journey. We believe that it is never too early to begin planning, and we are committed to guiding individuals and their families through the complex landscape of end-of-life planning with clarity and care. We strive to empower each person to navigate this profound transition with dignity and peace of mind.
Our approach integrates emotional, spiritual, and practical support, ensuring that all necessary paperwork and legal documents are organized, accessible, and aligned with our clients' wishes. We are centered around helping people identify their values and goals where it pertains to the end of their life. We focus on creating actionable steps toward generating and completing an end of life care plan that includes the proper paperwork, outlines for care, designs for a legacy, and general -- to very specific -- plans for making the end-of-life as peaceful and stress-free as possible .
Our belief at The Greatest Gift is simple:
It is never too early to start end-of-life planning.
Because here’s the hard truth – we never know when we’re going to die!
It is less difficult on us and our loved ones to get everything investigated and organized before we become sick or infirm. We believe that it is easier and better to re-visit already created plans periodically as we age or begin to face issues as our health changes, than it is to start when there are already difficulties to surmount.
An end-of-life doula, also known as an death doula, can provide a range of valuable services and support for clients and their families through advanced planning. Some of the ways we can help:
By addressing these areas, an end-of-life doula can help ensure that the end-of-life and after-death planning is as aligned with the client’s wishes as possible and provide support to both the client and their loved ones.
It is never too soon to start these processes.
I offer a range of services including one-on-one discussions, family meetings, and workshops. These services are designed to help people overcome their fears around end of life planning, and put plans and practices in to place.
I believe that it is TRULY the greatest gift that we can give the people we love -- to take care of everything BEFORE we are sick, or injured or actively dying. An end of life care plan can make all the difference in the world.
I came to this practice because a good friend of mine was alone facing her death from cancer and had no plans. We worked together to create strategies and a blueprint. In researching and organizing for her needs, I found Going With Grace and DoulaGivers organizations which led me to my own certifications. My approach is holistic and tailored to each individual's unique needs.
